*I'm there to help you advocate for yourself to insure that all of your wants and needs are met so that your birth is a positive experience. Two in home meetings are included to assist with preparing a birth plan, teach comfort measures to reduce mom’s discomfort, encourage optimal positioning of baby, and labor progression. Two weeks prior to your due date we will review stages of labor and what to expect. I offer a fear release session if needed to help you let go of any lingering anxiety so that you are more able to relax and trust your birthing body. I will also provide positive reinforcement as birth approaches and unlimited phone/e-mail contact any time it’s needed.
Labor Support
*Continuous labor support starting when you choose- home or hospital. This includes massage, acupressure, guidance for your partner, performing comfort measures, position changes for labor progression, relaxation guidance and working with hospital staff/midwife to create a positive, peaceful birth environment.
*Back up doula if needed. *C-section support if needed.*HypnoBirthing support *Variety of CDs with soothing music (in case you get tired of yours or didn't have time to grab them!)
Pictures and story of your baby’s birth are also included! Postpartum Support *Sounds of the Womb CD (soothing, sleepytime melodies softly interwoven with the actual heartbeat & sounds baby hears in the womb) to welcome baby if desired. *Assist with breastfeeding immediately after birth, staying with you for approximately 1 to 2 hrs. Postpartum Meeting *One visit within three weeks of your birth to give you your birth story (saved as word document so that you can add your memories), discuss your birth, and give suggestions or referrals for any issues you might be having. INPORTANT! I leave arranging this meeting to you. Some parents do not feel the need for follow up and choose to have their pictures and my Birth Notes e-mailed to them so they can write their own Birth Story. If this meeting is not set up within three weeks of the birth of your little one I will send the notes and pictures to your e-mail address.
Fee for my services: $600.00
